BBQ Beef Ribs

Ingredients

  • 3-4lbs beef short ribs
  • Water
  • BILLY-JOE’S BBQ SAUCE 479ML

Directions

  1. Preheat oven or BBQ to 400 degrees. (if using your BBQ, use indirect heat turning on the burner on one side only, and cook on the opposite side)
  2. Place ribs in a 6-8qt pot. Cover the bottom with 2 inches of water.
  3. 3-3.5hrs or 40-45mins per pound
  4. Check your ribs every 20-30mins to ensure you don’t overcook them. If too tender they will fall off the bone when cooking on the BBQ
  5. Remove from oven or BBQ
  6. Set your BBQ to Medium temperature and 350
  7. Place the racks directly on the grill
  8. Turn the racks of ribs over to sear on each side for 3-4mins each side until grill marks appear
  9. After the first flip apply BILLY-JOE’S BBQ SAUCE on the first side liberally 
  10. Turn the rack over after 2-3 mins
  11. After the second flip apply BILLY-JOE’S BBQ SAUCE on the opposite side liberally 
  12. Allow 2-3 mins per side and allow 1-3 layers on each side (taste with your heart)
  13. Now you’re ready to enjoy the best ribs ever!

Billy's Tips:

One cooking method is to boil the ribs instead of slow cooking and yes its faster but you’ll lose the flavour of the ribs.
