BBQ Pork Ribs

3-4 people

3.5 - 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • Water
  • Billy-Joes BBQ Sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees or BBQ to lowest set heating and use indirect heat (burner on one side only, cook opposite side)
  2. Place ribs in a 6-8qt pot. Cover the bottom with 2 inches of water.
  3. put in oven for 2.5 or 3 hrs
  4. Check your ribs every 20-30mins to ensure you don’t overcook them. If too tender they will fall off the bone when cooking on the BBQ
  5. Remove from oven or BBQ
  6. Set your BBQ to Medium temperature
  7. Place the racks directly on the grill
  8. Turn the racks of ribs over to sear on each side for the initial cook
  9. After the first flip apply Billy-Joe’s BBQ Sauce on the first side liberally
  10. Turn the rack over after 2-3 minutes
  11. After the second flip apply Billy-Joe’s BBQ Sauce on the opposite side liberally
  12. Allow 2-3 mins per side and allow 2-3 layers on each side
  13. Now you’re ready to enjoy the best ribs ever!

Billy's Tips:

One cooking method is to boil the ribs instead of slow cooking and yes its faster but you’ll lose the flavour of the ribs.
