BBQ Pork Ribs
Serves:
3-4 people
Time To Cook:
3.5 - 4 hrs
Ingredients
2 racks of pork ribs
Water
Billy-Joes BBQ Sauce
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees or BBQ to lowest set heating and use indirect heat (burner on one side only, cook opposite side)
Place ribs in a 6-8qt pot. Cover the bottom with 2 inches of water.
put in oven for 2.5 or 3 hrs
Check your ribs every 20-30mins to ensure you don’t overcook them. If too tender they will fall off the bone when cooking on the BBQ
Remove from oven or BBQ
Set your BBQ to Medium temperature
Place the racks directly on the grill
Turn the racks of ribs over to sear on each side for the initial cook
After the first flip apply Billy-Joe’s BBQ Sauce on the first side liberally
Turn the rack over after 2-3 minutes
After the second flip apply Billy-Joe’s BBQ Sauce on the opposite side liberally
Allow 2-3 mins per side and allow 2-3 layers on each side
Now you’re ready to enjoy the best ribs ever!
Billy's Tips:
One cooking method is to boil the ribs instead of slow cooking and yes its faster but you’ll lose the flavour of the ribs.
